First Time Writing
Aleshia wanted to write her own Thank You
card to Cori for her Christmas gifts, so Karin
gave her some cardstock and a crayon and wrote on the dry erase board slowly...showing Aleshia how to write the letters. Except for the 'R' and 'S' and 'To:' and 'From:', Aleshia wrote all the rest
on her own for the first time!

After thirteen months of eating healthy and exercising, Karin lost 28 pounds and
fits into this dress again! <big grin>

Gymnastics Class
After our playgroup enjoyed the YMCA class
so much, three of us signed our children up
for a four-week gymnastics class. This is the
first day of the Saturday class.
Hiking Girls
Resting on the rocks after an intense mile plus
hike (one way to rest point) where we crossed
a very active stream numerous times and scrambled over plenty of rocky terrain.

Staying on the Trail
We were teaching Aleshia to stay on the trail and not to touch everything she saw. Quite a challenge for a curious three year old!

Family Hike
Torrey Pines is one of our favorite places to hike because you can see the beautiful ocean throughout most of the hike and it is nice and cool. 1/30 Torrey Pines Razor Point Trail
Cactus at the Beach
I love the contrast of the cactus growing
next to the ocean. Goes to show that San Diego
is just a desert on the ocean!
Sand Girls
This was taken near the end of a three mile walk

Pajama Party
Aleshia enjoyed her gymnastics class so much
we signed her up for the Valentine's Day gym night where the children enjoyed a pajama party and playing and we enjoyed a night out.
Valentine's Day Red & White Party
This year we had a Red & White party to
celebrate Valentine's Day with our playgroup.

Fascination
Aleshia, Isabelle, and Topher stood still and were QUIET while they watched in total fascination as the crew poured concrete into a ditch.
Laundry Princess
Aleshia helps Mommy with laundry and this
was just too cute to miss! She is quite particular about lining everything up just so.
Kidsville
We had so much rain this year that we passed Seattle in annual precipation! Anyway, Karin moved the playgroup meetings indoors for
a few months so we could still get together. Kidsville is a BIG HIT with everyone!

Aleshia grabbed Brooke and her KU football

Crossing the Stream
Some playgroup members crossing the San Diego River, which looks like a stream through this area.
Holding Hands
The last leg of the hike and the kids needed a little incentive to make it to the end.
Three Musketeers
It was a chilly drizzly day and there was
plenty of debris washed up on shore. Walking sticks made it a more interesting and fun walk.

Aleshia loved her walking stick so much she requested we keep it. It is still in Daddy's trunk.

3/12 Mission Beach Rollercoaster to

Groceries
Topher, Aleshia, and Isabelle love the
Science Center, especially the children's area where they went grocery shopping and
played on the soft blocks for hours.
Sorting Produce
After shopping for the produce across the room, they would bring back their baskets and sort
the produce into piles by type and put them
away one by one into a "refrigerator", then
clean up and start all over again.
Fishy Face
She has small ponies on her fingers as rings
and a bracelet from Mexico on her wrist.
We took Grams to Puerto Nuevo for lobster
and jewelry shopping a few days prior.

Dani helped the girls do flips on the bar.

we all fall down. Sophia was the "rosey" and Topher was falling down.
