First Trimester |

Conception Date: 6/11/00 or 6/13/00 June 18, 2000: One year wedding anniversary August 5, 2000: We moved into our first home. August 10, 2000: Day we found out we were going to be parents. Activities: Walked 30 minutes every day; worked two jobs; took naps nearly every day; purchased our first home (lots of packing and unpacking, but no lifting); and received a massage once a month. Cravings: None Favorite Foods: Carrots, grilled cheese sandwiches (Mozzarella on whole wheat), & V-8 juice. Favorite Moment: Hearing the baby’s heartbeat for the first time! Least Favorite Thing: Leg cramps late at night. |
Second Trimester |

September 20, 2000: Housewarming party November 23, 2000: First Thanksgiving in our new home with out-of-town relatives. Activities: Walked often; swam often; worked out with a trainer; did prenatal yoga; decorated our home; worked 3 days a week; and received a massage every two weeks. Cravings: None Favorite Foods: Carrots, pumpkin pie, & strawberry protein shakes. Favorite Moment: Seeing "Baby" via ultrasound with Steve for the first time! Least Favorite Thing: Not being able to sleep on my back anymore. Notes: This was the best time during my pregnancy. I felt wonderful and healthy! |
Third Trimester |

Christmas 2000: Traveled to Atlanta to visit Steve’s family, then visited my maternal relatives in Northern Virginia. New Year’s Eve 2000: Celebrated with friends at Mary & Joe’s house. Toasted in the New Year with special Millennium champagne since this is the real millennium! February 11, 2000: "Last Dinner Party Before Baby Arrives." Enjoyed Steve’s yummy lasagna with 16 friends. Activities: Walked often; worked out with trainer through end of January; decorated the nursery; napped occasionally; and received a massage every other week. Cravings: Cake, cookies, & donuts. Favorite Foods: Carrots, pb&j sandwiches (Simply Jif & strawberry All-Fruit on whole wheat), and any chocolate chip cookie. Least Favorite Thing: Being confined to bed rest for two days when I felt fine. |
