Karin and I met on a 2 hour Singles Cruise sponsored by San Diego radio station Star 100.7. We were invited on the next Singles Cruise by Karin's friend Loryn (who works there) as a "Single's Cruise Success Story." At the start of the cruise, the DJs hosting the event, Jagger and Kristi, introduced us to the crowd, after another "Success Story" couple, telling the story of how we met, and how Loryn never heard from Karin, because she was spending all her time with me! Then they asked us if we had anything to say to the crowd. Karin told them "It works!" to which I said it did, and then informed everyone that I had something to say to Karin.

"Karin, when we met on the last Singles Cruise, you changed my life. I had just moved here. You made San Diego my home. That night was the beginning of our life together, and I can't think of better place to start the rest of our life together."

At which point I dropped to one knee and pulled the ring out of my pocket. The crowd screamed, and Karin was in shock.

"Karin, will you marry me?"

It took her a few seconds, but eventually she screamed "Yes!" She put on the ring, and we embraced. Kristi immediately announced our engagement, and Karin was presented with flowers by Loryn, who was in on the whole thing.
